Step 01 · Placement

No payment before the assessment

You start with 35 minutes live with a teacher: no card, no obligation. That conversation sets your starting level between A1 and C2 and decides which group format actually fits you.

Enrolment usually runs the other way round: money first, level guessed later. Here the level is written down before any fee, so the first paid class is already aimed at the right room.

  1. 01A 35-minute diagnostic conversation, spoken in English, covering the four skills you will use in class.
  2. 02A CEFR starting level with the speaking evidence behind it, sent to you in writing the same day.
  3. 03A group match: Starter caps at six learners and Focus at four, so the level decides the room, not the calendar.

Assessment process

Two stages, both finished before your first class.

Placement here is a conversation, not a quiz. A teacher listens to you speak, then writes down what you can already do and what to fix first.

  1. 01 / 02

    35 minutes with a teacher

A live conversation with a teacher on video. No card, no obligation to enrol. You talk about work, travel and study while the teacher maps your output against CEFR descriptors and notes where grammar slips under pressure.

    • Free of charge
    • Booked within 2 working days
    • Speaking only, no written test
  2. 02 / 02

    Written profile within 24 hours

The teacher sends a one-page profile by email: your starting CEFR level, three corrected speaking samples, the group format that fits, and the speaking minutes you should expect in each class.

Group formats

Two caps. One rule: you speak in every class.

Class size decides how many counted speaking minutes land beside your name in the ledger. Both formats run 45 minutes live, EET/EEST, with the same teacher for eight weeks.

Starter

6 learners maximum

Speaking per class
12 minutes, teacher-counted
Class length
45 min live, EET/EEST
Best for
A2 to B1 learners rebuilding fluency
Monthly rate
2,400 UAH, materials included

Focus

4 learners maximum

Speaking per class
18 minutes, teacher-counted
Class length
45 min live, EET/EEST
Best for
B1 to B2 learners preparing to present
Monthly rate
3,900 UAH, materials included

Caps are fixed, not targets. When a group fills, the next cohort opens the following Monday and keeps the same teacher.

Speaking and ledger

Name the target. Then read the record.

Every group works from three speaking targets written on the board at the start of the month. You practise them in class, and the ledger shows whether they moved.

  1. 01 / Turn length Three uninterrupted 45-second turns in a live discussion.
  2. 02 / Follow-up questions Four follow-up questions in a row without switching to your first language.
  3. 03 / Self-repair Two corrections made without the teacher prompting you.

The monthly ledger records attendance, teacher-counted speaking minutes and an eight-week CEFR re-score by a teacher who did not teach your group. It does not estimate, rank or predict.

Next step

Start with the 35-minute placement, then decide.

A teacher runs the assessment, writes your starting CEFR level, and sets a speaking target for the first eight weeks. No card is taken and nothing is charged at this stage.
