The assessment costs nothing. A teacher speaks with you for 35 minutes, listens to how you actually talk, and writes down a starting level on the CEFR scale. You leave with a placement and a short note on what to work on next, whether or not you ever book a class with us.

Booking the assessment does not enrol you in a course. There is no account to create, no payment step, and no automatic seat in a group. Enrolment only begins if you choose a group afterwards, in writing.

Assessment details

What the free assessment covers, and what it does not.

Thirty-five minutes with a teacher. No card, no obligation, and nothing is charged before you choose a group.

  • 01A 35-minute live call with one teacher, not a chatbot or a recorded test.
  • 02A short written self-report first, so the call starts at your real level.
  • 03A speaking sample scored against the CEFR scale, A1 to C2.
  • 04A written summary naming your starting level and a group that fits: up to six learners in Starter, up to four in Focus.
  • 05One recommended time window in EET or EEST, with a start date you can confirm or refuse.
